Shidore Insect is a Chimera Ant who was born in the NGL. He was created by a scientist named Dr. Welfin, who used the genes of a praying mantis and a human to create him. Shidore is a very large and powerful Chimera Ant, and he is one of the most feared soldiers in the NGL army. He is also very intelligent, and he is a skilled strategist.
Shidore first appears in the anime when he is sent to attack Gon and Killua. He easily defeats them, and he takes them prisoner. He then brings them to Dr. Welfin, who plans to use them to create new Chimera Ants.
