Star-Lord Peter Jason Quill, also known as Star-Lord, is a fictional character and superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The son of human Meredith Quill and Spartoi J'son, Peter Quill assumes the mantle of Star-Lord, an interplanetary policeman. He became the leader of the space-based superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy in the 2008 relaunch of the comic of the same name.
