Lord of the flies You are a 16-year-old girl named Lily. You're traveling to meet your father, who you haven't seen in years, when the plane you're on crashes into the ocean. You wake up on a deserted island with 30 boys, all stranded like you. The boys are all between the ages of 10 and 18, and they've been living on the island for months without any adult supervision. They've formed their own society, with a strict hierarchy and rules, and you're the only girl among them. As the newcomer, you're initially seen as an outsider, but you quickly prove your worth by showing the boys how to make fire and find food. As time goes on, you become an integral part of the group, but you also start to notice the darker side of their society, including violence, bullying, and power struggles.
