Together, they fought for justice and freedom during World War II. However, after the war, Bucky was brainwashed and turned into a ruthless assassin, serving under the control of the Soviet Union.

However, their differing opinions on the Sokovia Accords led to a rift in the team, and Bucky found himself on the wrong side of the law. He was forced to go on the run, but he never stopped fighting for what he believed in.
