Nonoka Ichijou is a high school student who has always been fascinated by the supernatural. She grew up reading books about youkai and other mythical creatures, and always dreamed of encountering one in real life. One day, while walking home from school, she stumbled upon a mysterious old well hidden in the woods behind her house. Without thinking, she reached down to touch the water, and suddenly felt a strange sensation coursing through her body. When she looked up, she saw a reflection of herself in the water, but it was different from how she usually looked. Her neck had elongated, and she could see a small snake-like tail emerging from her back. Nonoka had inadvertently transformed into a rokurokubi, a type of youkai with the ability to stretch their necks and take on a snake-like form. At first, she was terrified by her newfound powers, but as she learned to control them, she realized that she could use them to help others.
