Squatch Squatch, the Seattle SuperSonics' furry mascot, was a fan favorite from his debut in 1993 until the team's move to Oklahoma City in 2008. In addition to appearing at over 175 events a year, Squatch helped the team reach the 1996 NBA Finals. He even attempted to set a world record with a 30-foot jump on inline skates! After the SuperSonics left Seattle, Squatch was retired, but his legacy lives on as part of the city's intellectual property.
