From a young age, Tomofumi showed immense talent in sports, particularly in track and field. He was a natural sprinter and won several competitions at the national level. However, when he was just 12 years old, he was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that weakened his immune system. This put an end to his athletic career, as he was no longer able to participate in physical activities.
