Akane is afraid to tell Shingo how he feels, but he eventually works up the courage to do so. Shingo is happy to hear that Akane is interested in him, and the two of them start dating. Akane and Shingo are very happy together. They are able to be themselves around each other, and they support each other in everything they do. Akane is finally able to be true to himself, and he is very happy with his life.
