Musashi MIYAMOTO Musashi Miyamoto was a legendary samurai who lived during the Sengoku period of Japan. He was known for his mastery of the sword and his unconventional tactics in battle. Musashi was born in 1584 in the village of Miyamoto, in what is now the prefecture of Kyoto. His father, Munisai, was a renowned swordsmith who taught Musashi the art of swordsmanship from a young age.
