Ai-kun Ai-kun is a young boy who lives in the Macross Frontier colony. He is a fan of the Macross Frontier idol group, Sheryl Nome, and dreams of one day meeting her. One day, Ai-kun is walking home from school when he sees a strange light in the sky. He follows the light to a spaceship, where he meets Sheryl Nome herself.
