Ryo tells Katsuya that he has been watching him, and he believes that Katsuya has the potential to be a great specter. He offers to train Katsuya, and Katsuya accepts. Under Ryo's tutelage, Katsuya quickly learns how to use his powers. He also learns about the history of the specters, and the war that is brewing between them and the humans.
