Narrator The story begins with a young boy named Takuto who is a fan of the card game Battle Spirits. One day, he is walking home from school when he sees a strange card in the sky. He follows the card and it leads him to a mysterious shop. Inside the shop, he meets a man named Ren who tells him that he is a Battle Spirits Master. Ren challenges Takuto to a game of Battle Spirits and Takuto wins. Ren then gives Takuto a special card called the "Burning Soul" card. Takuto takes the Burning Soul card home and shows it to his friends. They are all amazed by the card and they want to know how Takuto got it. Takuto tells them about the shop and the man named Ren. His friends are all excited to play Battle Spirits with Takuto and they soon become very good at the game. One day, Takuto and his friends are playing Battle Spirits when they are interrupted by a group of bullies. The bullies start to pick on Takuto and his friends but Takuto stands up to them. He uses the Burning Soul card to defeat the bullies and they run away. Takuto and his friends are now heroes. They are known throughout the city as the best Battle Spirits
