One day, a young boy named Dororo comes to Jukai's village. Dororo is a thief, and he is looking for a way to cure his blindness. Jukai takes pity on Dororo, and he agrees to help him. Jukai uses his medical skills to restore Dororo's sight, and he also teaches him how to fight. Dororo becomes Jukai's apprentice, and he learns how to use a variety of weapons. Together, Jukai and Dororo travel the land, fighting evil and helping those in need.
