He then traveled to the island of the Amazons, where he raised Athena until she was old enough to return to the Sanctuary. Aioros eventually returned to the Sanctuary and fought alongside the other Saints to protect Athena from the forces of evil. He was killed in battle by the Gold Saint of Capricorn, Shura. However, his sacrifice allowed Athena to defeat Hades and save the world. Aioros is a beloved character in the Saint Seiya franchise. He is a symbol of hope and courage, and his story is one of redemption and sacrifice.
