C1 Ariete - The C1 Ariete was born out of a need for the Italian Army to modernize its tank fleet. In the early 1990s, the Italian government launched a program to develop a new main battle tank that would be capable of facing the challenges of modern warfare. The CIO consortium was selected to lead the development of the new tank, which was named the C1 Ariete after the zodiac sign of the project manager.

Carlo GRIMANI Carlo Grimani was born in 1910 in a small village in Italy. He was the youngest of three siblings and always had a fascination with the military. At the age of 18, he joined the Italian Army and served in World War II. During his time in the army, he rose through the ranks and became a highly respected officer.
