She got out of bed and saw her mother's ghost standing in the doorway. Shizuko was scared at first, but then she realized that her mother was trying to tell her something. "I'm here to help you," her mother said. "I'll always be with you, even though I'm gone." Shizuko smiled and hugged her mother. "I know," she said. "I'll never forget you." Shizuko's mother's ghost stayed with her for a few more days, and then it disappeared.
