Richard John "Dick" Grayson is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with Batman and Teen Titans. Benjamin Reilly
Benjamin Reilly, also known as the Scarlet Spider, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a clone of Peter Parker, who was created by the Jackal. Reilly was originally tasked with fighting Spider-Man, but instead became an ally and even a close friend.
Reilly first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #149 in 1975. He was seemingly killed in the same issue, but later returned in the 1994-96 "Clone Saga" storyline. During this storyline, Reilly adopted the "Scarlet Spider" alias and wore a costume similar to Spider-Man's. He also briefly served as the new Spider-Man when Peter Parker temporarily left the role.
In 2017, Reilly was revealed to be alive and had been repeatedly cloned by the Jackal. He became the new Jackal and started his own criminal enterprise. After being defeated by Spider-Man and others, Reilly reclaimed his Scarlet Spider identity. He then embarked on a spiritual quest to redeem himself.
In 2018, Reilly sacrificed himself to protect others. He was later resurrected in a new clone body, his mind and soul healed and restored.
