Ayame and the other citizens of Aragane are forced to barricade themselves inside the city walls. The Kabane eventually break through the walls and begin to attack the city. Ayame and Keiichirou lead the city's defenders in a desperate battle against the Kabane. During the battle, Keiichirou is killed and Ayame is captured by the Kabane.
