He is a young boy with a burden of insanity who was born with a cursed eye that allows him to see the "death god" and those who are fated to die. Toby's backstory is quite tragic, as he was abandoned by his parents and raised in an orphanage where he was mistreated and abused by the other children. He eventually ran away and found himself in a world where he was not alone in his insanity.
