Alexander "Alex" Mahone Alexander Mahone is a special agent in the FBI who specializes in hunting down escaped prisoners. He is introduced in the second season of Prison Break, when he is assigned to recapture the eight prisoners who escaped from Fox River State Penitentiary. Mahone is a skilled and determined agent, and he manages to capture four of the fugitives. However, he is later arrested in Panama and imprisoned in Penitenciaría Federal de Sona. Mahone manages to escape, and he is coerced into taking down the Company, a secret group of multinationals which exerts an influence on the White House. An assassin is hired by the Company to murder Mahone's son, and he spends the majority of season four seeking revenge.
