Kouta eventually learns that Midori is not interested in Takao, but is actually in love with him. Kouta decides to help Midori win Takao's heart. He does this by crossdressing as Akina and pretending to be Midori's girlfriend. Takao is initially confused by Akina, but eventually falls in love with her. Kouta's plan works, and Midori and Takao get together. However, Kouta is still in love with Midori, and he is heartbroken when he sees them together. Kouta eventually decides to move on with his life. He starts dating a new girl, and he eventually forgets about Midori.
