Despite her initial hostility towards the protagonist, the player, Undyne eventually comes to respect their determination and courage, and even offers to teach them her powerful spear techniques. Through their interactions, the player helps Undyne confront her own beliefs and ultimately find a new purpose in life, one that doesn't involve violence and revenge.
