She came to the Stanley Hotel in the early 1900s with her husband, who was a traveling salesman. They stayed in room 217, which is now known as the most haunted room in the hotel. Emily was pregnant with twins when her husband left her alone in the room while he went to attend to some business. When he returned, he found Emily dead on the floor, and her babies had been taken from her womb. The hotel staff found her body days later, and it's said that her ghost still haunts the hotel to this day.
