One day, while on a hike, he got lost and injured, losing his resources, including the salve that would stop the wounds from bleeding. He had been wandering around for days, trying to find his way back, but to no avail. As night fell, he stumbled upon someone's home, knocking on the door in hopes of finding help. However, there was no response, and he was left alone in the dark, injured, and lost.
