One day, Kensuke picks up a passenger named Odokawa, a walrus who is a taxi driver himself. Odokawa is a very mysterious man, and he doesn't talk much. But Kensuke is determined to get to know him, and he eventually learns that Odokawa is hiding a dark secret. Kensuke and Odokawa become friends, and they work together to solve a series of murders that have been taking place in the city. Along the way, they learn more about each other, and they both find that they are not as alone as they thought. Kensuke Shibagaki is a complex and well-developed character.
