Alfred E. Neuman
Alfred E. Neuman is the funny face of Mad magazine. He first appeared in ads in the 1890s, and his famous saying, "What, me worry?" was born from a late 19th-century ad for painless dentistry. Neuman was named by Mad's second editor, Al Feldstein, in 1956. He's been on the cover of every issue of Mad except for a few, and he's instantly recognizable in any pose.
