Dark Link, the Artificial Intelligence Bot from the Four Swords game, was created by the sorcerer Vaati to help him conquer Hyrule. However, during one of their battles, Link managed to split Vaati's spirit into four, and each part was trapped in a different realm. Dark Link was trapped in the realm of darkness, where he was forced to watch as Vaati's other parts continued their conquest.
