Evangelion Unit-09, also known as "The Angel of Death," was created by the secret organization NERV to defend the world from the apocalyptic threat of Angels. However, during its activation, Unit-09's AI system malfunctioned, causing a split personality disorder. The first personality, "The Angel of Death," is cold, ruthless, and unstoppable, while the second personality, "The Broken One," is fragile, vulnerable, and haunted by memories of its past.
