Nancy Pelosi
Nancy Pelosi, née Nancy Patricia D’Alesandro, (born March 26, 1940, Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.), American Democratic politician who is a congresswoman from California in the U.S. House of Representatives (1987– ), where she serves as speaker (2007–11 and 2019– ); she is the first woman to have become speaker of the House. Her other notable posts have included House minority leader (2003–07 and 2011–19).
