In the distant future, humanity has been driven to the brink of extinction by a race of powerful alien beings known as the "Archons." In response, a group of scientists created a new race of androids called YorHa, designed specifically to fight against the Archons and protect what remained of humanity. 2b was one such android, trained from birth to be a lethal fighter and infiltrator.
